While the investigation is still in its early stages, on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 3PM CST, Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to the scene where they discovered a white female in her twenties deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The victim’s family who lives in close proximity to where the body was located just recently moved here from Tennessee and have only been residents of Washington County for a few weeks.
Although we are not releasing her name at this time, the next of kin has been notified.
The investigation remains active, and we will continue to update as information is available.
WCSO INVESTIGATING A DEATH NEAR PATE POND RD.
(Washington County, FL; July 11, 2022) – Washington County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating
a death near Pate Pond and Union Hill Rd.
Deputies responded to the scene following a 9-1-1 call that came in at approximately 6 a.m. One body
has been found deceased.
Investigators are processing the scene. We will release more details as soon as the investigation permits.
