Ruth Mitchell Vickers, age 86, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 14, 2022, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center in Bonifay.
She was born May 25, 1936, in Holmes County Florida to the late Theodus Jack ‘T.J.’ Mitchell and Bessie Lee Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Calvin Vickers, three brothers, Marvin Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, and Leroy Mitchell, and one sister, Becky Thompson.
Ms. Vickers is survived by three sons, Randy Vickers and wife Joyce of Westville, FL, Eddie Vickers and wife Alice of Dothan, AL, and Mitchell Vickers and wife Donna of Panama City, FL; two daughters, Ronda Kirkland and husband Terry of Headland, AL and Susan Herndon of Dothan, AL; one sister, Betty Sue Johnson of Bonifay, FL; one brother, Ray Neal Mitchell of Bonifay, FL; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2022, at Carmel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Carmel Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM at Carmel Assembly of God Church.
