Bertie Beatrice Curry, age 84, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 18, 2022, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay.
She was born May 7, 1938, in Samson, Alabama to the late Artemus Washington Thames and Lenora Lynn Stafford Thames.
In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Curry, five brothers, Donnie Thames, Thaniel Thames, Joseph Thames, Daniel Thames, and Randiel Thames; two sisters, Thelma Harcus and Maggie Mae Palmer; one stepson, James Curry.
Ms. Curry is survived by ten children, Jimmie Curry of Ponce de Leon, FL, Debra Zepp and Steven of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Diane Padgett of Ponce de Leon, FL, Gary Curry of Bonifay, FL, Marshall Holloway of Westville, FL, Patricia Hudson of Bonifay, FL, Jacqueline Adkins and Greg of Chipley, FL, Edd Curry of Vernon, FL, David Curry of Westville, FL, and Carol Curry and Billy McKnight of Vernon, FL: three stepchildren, Earnie Curry and Kathy of Americus, GA, Nancy Hayes and Paul of Richmond, VA, and J.B. Curry, Jr. of Bonifay, FL; 35 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Thames, Ronnie Thames, and Ricky Thames and Sharon; two sisters, Martha Faye Henderson and Mary Jane Wyatt; her fur baby, Lady.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Liberty Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Samson, Alabama.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Friday at Peel Funeral Home.
