David Brian Carnley, 61, of Bonifay, Florida passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Washington County Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born to Paul and Iris Carnley on August 26, 1960. David was a 1978 graduate of Bethlehem High School in Bonifay and enjoyed playing basketball throughout high school. He was a long-time member of Carmel Assembly of God Church and loved his church and church family. David was active in the church, willing to do anything that was needed. He enjoyed being part of the Carmel Church Choir, but especially enjoyed being part of the Men’s Ministry Mission Project, the Carmel Chicken Perleu dinner. David was also a Royal Ranger Commander, teaching the boys of various ages for many years.
David’s hobbies were woodworking, gardening, and he enjoyed raising their farm animals, chickens, rabbits, and goats. His greatest loves though were his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Singletary, and his brother, Greg Carnley. David is survived by his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Melissa (Jesse) English of Statesville, North Carolina, Candace (Jason) Smith of Bonifay; one son, Justin (Nikki) Carnley also of Bonifay; four grandchildren, Daylan and Maci English, Hadley Smith and Nolan Carnley; his father, Paul Carnley of Bonifay, two brothers, Jeff (Paula) Carnley of Bonifay, and Vic Carnley of Ohio; along with a host of lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Carmel Assembly of God Church in Bonifay with Revs. Jerry Moore and Tommy Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Assembly of God Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing.
