On May 29, 2022, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an inappropriate relationship between Faith Elizabeth Travis and a minor.
During the investigation, it was determined Travis sent nude images of herself and wanted him to engage in sexual activity.
After further investigation, a warrant was secured for the suspect and in July 2022, Faith Elizabeth Travis was arrested and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on Victim 12 Years of Age or Older but less than 16 Years of Age.
Sheriff Edenfield said the JCSO will always protect our children and will apprehend anyone who seeks to cause them harm.
“This is yet another terrible incident where someone took advantage of a minor and preyed on their innocence.
We will continue to fight for the safety of our children and see that justice is sought when someone tries to harm them,” he said.
