Washington County Public Works has advised of intermittent lane restrictions on State Road (S.R.) 77 just north of Crystal Lake Drive in Washington County for approximately .25 miles from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8 as crews place low profile barrier wall.
Flaggers and advanced warning signage will assist in directing motorists through the work area.
This six-mile construction project is part of a larger 20-mile S.R. 77 widening project. It is also part of the continuing effort by FDOT to improve safety along this hurricane evacuation route, ease congestion on the S.R. 77 corridor, and encourage economic development opportunities in Washington County.
All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the posted speed limit of 45 mph when traveling through the construction area and watch for construction equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
Speeding fines are double when workers are present.
