The Washington County, Florida Health Department, in partnership with Florida Panhandle Technical College and the Washington County School District is offering a leadership academy on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

GLAM (Girls Leadership Academy and Mentoring) will kick off on August 4, 2022 and will have monthly sessions throughout the year.

On August 4 the participating young ladies will experience a hair and makeup makeover courtesy of Ashlynn Marquez, then enjoy formal portraits and candid headshots by Paul Goulding and the FPTC Digital Photography Program.

Standing for ‘Girls Leadership Academy and Mentoring’ the 2020 event was held virtually, due to the Corona Pandemic, but was considered a success, while the 2021 event was held at the School District Board Office.

FPTC and the Photography Program have participated each year, and there are scholarship opportunities if students complete the program.

Don’t let your student miss this wonderful opportunity. Space is limited and the application closes Friday July 22nd. For more information, contact Lisa Moon at the Washington County, Florida Health Department at 850.845.5077.
