Trooper Ken Harsey, 89 of Blountstown, Florida Passes on August 20, 2022

Trooper Ken Harsey, 89 of Blountstown, FL passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. 

Ken was born July 21, 1933 in Wildwood, FL to Clifton Walter and Kelsia Catherine Harsey.

He was retired from the Florida Highway Patrol after 40 1/2 years of service. 

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven, FL.  Ken coached youth baseball, football, and volunteered. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton W. and Kelsia C. Harsey; daughter, Carol Parrish; and sister, Ruth Carrol.  Ken was survived by his three sons: Walt Harsey of Bristol, FL, Larkin Harsey of Sunny Hills, FL, and Hud Harsey of Altha, FL; two sisters: Martha Capelluto of Tallahassee, FL and Linda Thomas of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Richard Parrish of Blountstown, FL; three grandchildren: Lt. Wes Harsey of Marianna, FL, Jordan Harsey of Blountstown, FL, and Triston Harsey of Panama City, FL; and five great-grandchildren: Jacob Wade, Hunter Harsey, Joanna Wade, Jackson Harsey, and Blakely Williams. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Southerland Family Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Goodman officiating. 

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wildwood, FL at a later date.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
