Evelyn Higdon, age 18, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 11, 2004, to James Higdon and Tina Harris.
Evelyn attended Crestview High School and grew up in the Crestview area. She attended Our Lady of Victory Church.
She loved to take long walks, hike, and explore for rocks and shells; loved to study science and animals. Evelyn was passionate about taking care of animals.
She enjoyed baking, collecting dolls and antiques, and loved her puzzles and solving problems. Most of all, Evelyn loved her family. She was preceded in death by her three stepsisters, Savannah, Danielle, and Jenelle; brother, Joshua Higdon; uncle, Josh Furr; and grandfather, Bobby Harris.
Survivors include her parents, Jim Higdon and wife, Jenny, and Tina Harris-Rodriguez and husband Edwin; brothers, James Higdon, Michael Higdon, and Jude Higdon; sisters, Johnna Higdon, Belinda Higdon, Vivienne Higdon, Adalia Harris-Rodriguez, and Casca Harris-Rodriguez; grandparents, Jim and Cindy Higdon, and Susan and Chris Brocato; and numerous extended family and friends.
A time of visitation with the family will be on Saturday September 17, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at the chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home.
