William Brian Cain, Orlando, FL, passed peacefully at Dr. Phillips Hospital on September 25, 2022.

Brian was born in Marianna, FL, on January 1, 1969, to James Ferrell Cain and Linda Hammock Cain, the first baby born in Jackson County that year.

He was an artist, an instigator, and a relentless entrepreneur.

Brian studied at Chipola College and the University of Central Florida before becoming a part of the Central Florida film community, working in the art department on films and television shows including Superboy, Superforce, and The Mickey Mouse Club, where he collaborated with performers who would become some of the world’s biggest stars.

After working in Los Angeles on the television show Mad TV, Brian returned to Orlando and opened the store Populuxe, which transitioned into a highly successful online company still in operation today.

He was a voracious reader, a lover of live music, and a connoisseur of all things pop culture.

Despite his sometimes-intimidating exterior and frequently cutting humor, Brian was a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a loving father.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Hrabal Cain of Orlando, his children Grayson and Natasha, his parents James (Ferrell) and Linda Cain of Chipley, FL, and numerous friends and family around the globe. He leaves a legacy of wacky adventures, wild schemes, and daydreams of post-apocalyptic mayhem.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on October 22, 2022, at New Home Baptist Church, 494 New Home Circle, Graceville, Florida.

Donations in Brian’s name can be made to the Covered Drive Thru Fund, New Home Baptist Church, Graceville, Florida 32440.
