Florida Department of Education Launches ‘Your Way’, with Tools to Assist in the Promotion of Adult Education in Florida in October 2022

By | October 26, 2022

From Kevin O’Farrell, Ph.D., Chancellor, Florida Department of Education:

This past week, we launched “Your Way,” – a brand dedicated to Florida’s Adult Education programs. We know this is just a small step in the right direction, but we invite you, as educators, to embrace the brand and encourage you to utilize the tools we have created for you.

I want to say thank you to each of you who participated in the 2022 ACE Annual Conference. It was a fantastic chance to be together and learn new and innovative ways to reach our adult learners and provide thoughtful instruction.

When it comes to education, not everyone takes the traditional path. Students withdraw from high school before obtaining their diploma. Adults who arrive in America often held prosperous careers in their countries and now aspire to use English like any other American. These students’ ages, skills and circumstances vary, but they have a common home where they can pursue lifelong, life-changing learning: Florida’s Adult Education programs.

Florida’s adult educators strive to help students elevate their earning potential. Each of you spend time customizing classroom settings, creating community and instilling confidence — anything to help students overcome barriers. You bring equal parts passion, compassion and hope with every message of opportunity:

When there’s a will, there’s a way. Your Way.
