On May 28, 2022, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a Henry Lane address in reference to a report of a stolen ATV. Upon the deputy’s arrival, it was determined that an ATV had been stolen from underneath a pole barn located on the property.
Investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were notified that Gulf County Sheriff’s Office had recovered an ATV in their jurisdiction that matched the description and Vin # of the ATV stolen from Washington County. WCSO Investigators began to follow-up on leads which lead them to 35-year-old, Brandon Lee Burkett, of Wewahitchka, FL.
Burkett was arrested in Gulf County on June 23, 2022 on unrelated charges and will be extradited to Washington County at a later date to answer to the pending charges of dealing in stolen property.
