In February 2014, The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida was contracted by Florida’s 14th Judicial Circuit Court to document the questionable health conditions in the old Washington County, Florida Courthouse.
Multiple health-threatening conditions were subsequently found, including various molds, lead paints, water intrusion and decay, and, following investigation, the building was condemned.
The firm produced multi-media collateral which was presented to the Florida Supreme Court and eventually encouraged that Court to fund a new courthouse building.
The Washington County Board of Commissioners then contracted with Goulding to document the demolition of the Courthouse and Jail buildings, along with the construction of the new, Florida State-funded Courthouse structure.
The progress of that project will be followed in the next few installments of this publication.
