From the Bonifay, Florida Police Department:
The Bonifay Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle this afternoon with no license plate.
A BOLO had been received from Washington County concerning the motorcycle that had fled from the Chipley Police Department.
The driver of the motorcycle refused to stop for law enforcement.
A pursuit began just east of SR 79 on US 90. The driver of the motorcycle refused to stop, and the pursuit continued north on SR 79.
The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office joined the pursuit just north of Mt. Olive Church.
The pursuit continued at speeds in excess of 100 mph as the motorcycle driver darted in and out of traffic and passing motorists on the right.
The Geneva County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Troopers joined in the pursuit at the four-way stop in Hartford, Alabama.
The pursuit ended it just inside Coffee County, Alabama near mile marker 20 on SR 167.
The driver was taken into custody and has been identified as Buford Glen Goddin, 35 years-of-age, from Chipley, Florida.
He has numerous felony charges from both the Bonifay Police Department and the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office.
The Bonifay Police Department would like to thank all agencies that assisted in the pursuit and ultimate arrest of the suspect.
