The City of Vernon is currently accepting applications for TEMPORARY FULL-TIME STREET MAINTENANCE CREW; this position has the potential to become permanent, based on job performance. Work may include: cutting grass, brush, limbs, trees and other vegetation growing within the city limits; cleaning trash/debris; repairing/maintaining roads in the city limits; utilizing power equipment; reading water meters; assisting Public Works with water/sewer work orders; as well as other related work as required.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
