Jimmy ‘Jim’ Doyle Whitehead, age 67, of Bonifay, Florida passed away December 7, 2022, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Whitehead, one sister, Peggy Joyce Whitehead, and a nephew, Brian Lee Whitehead.
Mr. Whitehead is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Whitehead of Bonifay, FL; his mother, Opal Whitehead of Bonifay, FL; three children, Lona Major, James Caldwell, and Sheen Whitehead all of Bonifay, FL; seven grandchildren, Rayne, Ashley, Courtney, Jimmy, Ruachelle, Balana, and Lena; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia and Harry (Wilk) Birge of Bonifay, FL and Lisa and Delbert Ross Corbin of Seale, AL: four brothers, Randall Whitehead, Terry (Bo) and Muriel Whitehead, Thomas Whitehead, and Tony Whitehead all of Bonifay, FL; 29 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2022, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Sunday at Peel Funeral Home.
