Harold Elbert Pickron, age 76, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022.
Harold was born on February 4, 1946, in Kinard, FL to Robert Lee and Annie Bell Griffin Pickron.
Harold was a long-time resident of Calhoun County, was in the US Navy from 1963-1969, and worked 50+ years in construction.
He was a former Calhoun County Road Department supervisor, former Calhoun County commissioner, and the first certified commissioner for Calhoun County.
He enjoyed spending time at his river camp, restoring older cars and trucks, and most of all his family and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Pickron, mother, Annie Bell Griffin Pickron, and 1 brother, R.L. Pickron.
Harold is survived by 1 son, Robert Pickron (Regina) of Clarksville, FL; 3 daughters, Dianna McIntyre, Laura Pickron, and Pam Savell (Allen) all of Blountstown, FL; 10 grandchildren, Robert Harold and Griffin Pickron, Miranda Smith, Brandon Ward, Terri Lynn Lipford, December Wilson, Joshua, Tanya, Ariel and Jeremiah Savell; 10 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Bob Pickron (Ruth) of Bristol, FL, Bill Pickron (Diane) of Tallahassee, FL, Roy (Mildred) Pickron of Blountstown, FL; and 1 sister, Ann Pickron Dekle of Bristol, FL.
Family will receive friends Saturday December 17, 2022 at 12:00 PM (CST) at Mt Olive Cemetery in Altha, FL. Funeral service will follow with Edward Rogers officiating.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
