Ella Ruth Stephens, age 95, of Bonifay, Florida passed away December 15, 2022, at Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center in Bonifay.
She was born November 20, 1927, in Holmes County Florida to the late Charles Cleatus Bush and Vera May Elloitt Bush.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Milton Stephens, three brothers, Bunice Bush, M.C. Bush, and Tommy Bush and three sisters, Vivian Gibson, Whelen Dyson, and Serena Adkison.
Ms. Stephens is survived by one daughter, Anita Stephens Schneider and husband Tim of Bonifay, FL; one son, Allen Wayne Stephens and wife Penny of DeFuniak Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Paul ‘Mickey’ Jernigan and wife Amy, Melissa Ward and husband Brian, Brail Stephens Johnson and husband David, Paviale Stephens, and Nicole Schneider Van Dyke and husband Kyle; six great-grandchildren, Houston ‘Lane’ Jernigan and wife Makenzy, Addison Spence, Chole Van Dyke, Logan Van Dyke, Merrick Johnson, and Atlas Johnson; one sister, Imogene Armstrong of Bonifay, FL; one sister-in-law, Maxine Bush of Bonifay, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2022, at Gully Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffrey Amerson officiating. Interment will follow in the Gully Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 AM Monday at Gully Springs Baptist Church.
