Our beloved husband, dad and grandfather, Captain Don Johnson, 79, entered into the presence of his Savior on Monday, December 19, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.
Capt. Don was born in Augusta, GA and has lived in Panama City Beach, FL since 1993. A private yacht captain and an avid fisherman, he loved being on the water.
Capt. Don treasured his family and greatly enjoyed being grandfather to his grandkids. He had a heart for serving and sharing God’s love with others.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 45 yrs., Cathy; his children, Deena Youngblood (Addie), Don Johnson Jr., Thomas Johnson, Jason Johnson and “the baby” Melissa Peak (Ken); 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Southerland Family Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
