Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Jimmy Eugene Maddox for Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia on December 21, 2022

On December 21, 2022 at 6PM, Jackson County, Florida Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop near Cypress, and contact was made with the driver, Jimmy Eugene Maddox.
 
Throughout the course of the investigation, K-9 Dutch was deployed and alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.
 
Deputies then found Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Xanax pills, Klonopin pills, Percocets and drug paraphernalia in a bag inside the vehicle.
 
Maddox admitted to being the owner of the bag and did not have a valid prescription for the pills — all of which are controlled substances in Florida.
 
Furthermore, the pills were not properly packaged in their proper medication bottles.
 
Jimmy Eugene Maddox was arrested and is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana over 20 Grams, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Valid Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
