Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Bryon William Smith and Madisen Marie Dowdy on Meth Trafficking Charges

Washington County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop Christmas Day, leading to the arrest of two individuals on methamphetamine trafficking charges. 

On December 25, just before 6 p.m., a WCSO deputy initiated a traffic stop near State RD. 77 and Williams Rd. During the stop, deputies smell the odor of narcotics coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of more than 14 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.  

The driver, 30-year-old, Bryon William Smith of Esto, FL was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked on the charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. 

A passenger in the vehicle, Madisen Marie Dowdy, 22 of Vanclave, MS was also arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
