By | December 29, 2022
On Wednesday, Dec. 28, around 4:00 p.m., deputies saw John Wayne Mills, who they knew did not have a valid driver’s license, driving near Marianna.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Mills, but during the stop, he attempted to flee on foot.

Mills was quickly caught but continued trying to escape deputies.

Throughout the course of the investigation, he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Mills was arrested and is being charged with Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, Resisting an Officer without Violence and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Sheriff Edenfield will not tolerate these types of crimes and is thankful no one was hurt when the suspect attempted to flee.
