Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Elizabeth Folds, 19 and Charlie French, 18 on Burglary, Theft Charges on December 29, 2022

Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of three females on burglary and grand theft charges.
 
On December 4th, at approximately 3 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a call reporting a stolen vehicle from a residence on Jones Court.
 
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim who stated three females had stolen her vehicle and fled the scene.
 
A BOLO went out for the vehicle, which was recovered at a Melody Lane address within minutes of the alert.
 
Deputies, along with the victim arrive at the residence on Melody Lane to find the house unoccupied with the front door standing open and the house ransacked. Investigators with WCSO were able to identify the suspects and obtain warrants for their arrest.
 
It was determined that multiple items, valued in excess of $1000, were destroyed on the victim’s property while the victim was away from home.
 
Video obtained during the investigation and confessions by some of the suspects resulted in the arrest of these individuals.
 
Elizabeth Haylee Folds, 19-years-old, of Chipley was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure causing in excess of $1000.
 
Charlie Malone French, 18-years-old, of Bonifay was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure causing damage over $1000, battery and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
 
A 16-years-old juvenile, of Chipley was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure causing in excess of $1000.
