Gordon Stubbs Jr. , 76 of Wausau, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2023, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida surrounded by his loving family.
Gordon was born on March 19, 1946, in Chipley, FL to Gordon A. Stubbs and Delana Alsobrooks. He was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Chipley, Florida.
Gordon loved spending his time outdoors fishing and watching FSU football. Most of all, he loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Gordon and Delana Stubbs; son: Corey Andrew Stubbs; brothers: Johnny Stubbs, Charlie Stubbs; sisters: Pasty Vines, Carolyn Taylor.
He is survived by his significant other: Anita Taylor of Wausau, Florida; son: Norman Taylor of Panama City, FL; daughters: Frances Taylor of Fountain, FL, Angela Steverson (Timothy) of Bonifay, FL; nieces: Crystal, Charlotte, Lynn; nephews: RD Stubbs, Butch, Chuck; daughter in law: Teresa Stubbs ; grandchildren: Mitchell Taylor, Mary Walters, Miranda Walters, Milton Walters, Rebecca Mills (Kamon), Kelly Taylor, Norman Taylor III, Andrew Taylor, Donna Crosby (Ronny), Dillon Mefford; 18 great grandchildren;; numerous cousins and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 6, 2023, at Obert Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Dupree officiating.
Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home.
