By | January 6, 2023
The Washington County, Florida Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting will be held at the beginning of the monthly ‘Third Thursday Luncheon’ on January 19, 2023, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley.

At this time, the Chamber Membership will vote on Board members for the coming year.

Dynamic new Director of the organization Michael Maxwell says; ‘With the New Year comes renewed hopes, dreams, and energy. From all of us at your Washington County Chamber of Commerce, we wish everyone a Happy, Safe, and Prosperous New Year.

As 2023 begins, I am taking time to reflect on what it is we do and the best way in which to accomplish our goals. The Washington County Chamber’s Mission Statement reads as follows:

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing leadership for developing a strong economy, where businesses prosper and our communities thrive.

This is a simple yet powerful Mission Statement. The first thing that comes to my mind, this is WASHINGTON COUNTY. As we go into the new year, I want to emphasize this is a county-wide organization and will do my best to make sure the communities throughout Washington County have a voice!

DEDICATED TO PROVIDING LEADERSHIP – your Chamber is comprised of many dedicated professionals and strong leaders, MOST of whom volunteer their time and expertise to the Chamber while also working hard every day in their place of business! But there is always room for new voices, new leaders, and new ideas! Consider attending a Third Thursday luncheon, joining the Ambassadors, call or stop by the Chamber office and have your voice heard!

DEVELOPING A STRONG ECONOMY WHERE BUSINESSES PROSPER AND OUR COMMUNITIES THRIVE. These three things go hand in hand. Businesses prosper in a strong economy which therefore leads to thriving communities. I strongly urge you to pay close attention to the upcoming legislative sessions in Tallahassee and Washington D.C. Contact your legislators on matters that concern you, your business and family. Knowledge is power so it is very important to stay informed and in touch!

I speak with people every day who are genuinely excited about the prospects for Washington County and the surrounding area. Projects which have been bubbling below the surface for a long time are about to unfold. These are truly remarkable times and I cordially invite you to come along for the ride!
