On Wednesday afternoon, January 18, 2023, the Chipley, Florida Police Department and Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office responded to an ‘officer-involved shooting’ at Walmart on Hwy 77 in Chipley.
Law enforcement agencies quickly responded and secured the area.
The suspect in the case was transported to a local hospital and the incident is under investigation, with the Chipley Police Department acting as lead agency on the case.
