Washington County, Florida Emergency Operations Advises of Traffic Disruptions on State Roads in Washington and Holmes County

Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Washington and Holmes counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.

Washington County:

  • State Road (S.R.) 77 Resurfacing from Brickyard Road to South Boulevard – Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures and shifts during sidewalk construction as equipment and workers enter and exit the roadway.

Holmes County:

  • U.S. 90 Resurfacing from the end of the Four Lane to the Washington County Line – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, Jan. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 29 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for paving operations.
  • Thomas Drive Bridge Replacement Over Open Creek – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures just east of S.R. 79 Monday, Jan. 23 through Friday, Jan. 27 for construction activities.
  • Tram Road Bridge Replacement over Reedy Creek and Miller Bay – Construction is expected to begin Monday, Jan. 23. A detour will be installed and traveling public will need to follow posted detour signs.
  • Waukesha Street (S.R. 79) Pavement Coring Operations from Interstate 10 to U.S. 90 – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, Jan.23 through Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for coring operations.
  • S.R. 2 Routine Bridge Inspection over Choctawhatchee River Bridge – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures east of S.R. 81 Tuesday, Jan 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection.
