Florida Panhandle Technical College Students Record Presentation by Katie Jenkins, ‘Teacher of the Year’ for 2021-2022

By | January 27, 2023
Katie Jenkins was selected as last year’s (2021-2022) ‘Teacher of the Year’ for Washington County, Florida School District, and typically the outgoing ‘TOY’ addresses the new year’s nominees at the annual ‘Teacher of the Year’ Celebration.

Unable to address the assemblage in that live setting, due to the fact that she would be accompanying her students on a trip to Orlando on that evening, Katie reached out to students in the Digital Video Technology Program at Florida Panhandle Technical College, who recorded Katie’s address, as seen in these photos of and by students in Studio B on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Jenkins’ address is also available for viewing (below).

There is still time to register for these programs as a dual-enrolled high schooler or an adult, and the college is offering half-day shadow sessions of their array of technical programs so potential students can get an opportunity to experience these offerings prior to committing to full-time attendance.

Hands-on student participation requires punctuality, a work ethic, the ability to follow direction, an attention to detail and a desire to learn.

Classes are now enrolling for the January 2023 Semester, which started on January 4, and limited seating is available for adult and dual-enrolled high school students.

Call 850-638-1180 Extension 6317 or drop by 757 Hoyt Street for a tour and/or a half-day shadowing session of our facilities and an opportunity to speak to our students.
