Lynn Haven Commissioner Judy Tinder resigned Tuesday to run for mayor in the April municipal election.
She emailed the Bay County Supervisor of Elections to confirm her decision.
Tinder is an outspoken critic of Vickie Gainer and Lynn Haven Police Chief Ricky Ramie and has called for the latter‘s dismissal.
She is also a witness in the federal corruption probe of the city and an advocate for former Mayor Margo Anderson.
Ramie sent an insulting text message about Tinder‘s partner, revealed in a corruption probe in December.
Tinder was re–elected to the City Commission in April 2020. Officials say the seat may be decided as part of the upcoming municipal elections in April 2021 or the Commission could appoint a replacement at their next meeting.
