Washington County Sheriff’s Office Participates in Tri-County Investigation and Arrest of Randall Raymond Hill Jr. and James Keith Golden III

Two Bay County residents have been arrested in conjunction with a fling of robberies conducted in Bay, Jackson and Washington Counties. 

On December 11th, 2022, a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop on a Toyota pickup truck on State Rd. 77 in Wausau. The driver fled at a high rate of speed prior to wrecking the vehicle in a wooded area just outside of Wausau. As Deputies arrived at the scene, the driver had already fled on foot. The vehicle was impounded, and later discovered that the vehicle had several thousands of dollars’ worth of tools in the truck.

During the investigation to find out the driver’s identity, on 01/08/2023, a theft was reported in the Orange Hill community. With the help of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Randall Raymond Hill Jr. and James Keith Golden III were identified as potential suspects, one of which was the truck’s registered owner, who fled from deputies. It was discovered that some of the tools in the Toyota pickup truck were recently stolen from Bay county.

A joint investigation was started with Bay, Jackson, and Washington county investigators. Randall Raymond Hill Jr. and James Keith Golden III were taken into custody by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Through multiple search warrants, investigators recovered property from the Orange Hill burglary and burglaries from Jackson and Bay counties in both men’s possession. Warrants have been issued for Raymond Randall Hill Jr. for fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement without regard for public safety, Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, and petite theft.

Warrants have also been issued for James Keith Golden for Burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft.

Both men are currently being held in the Bay county Jail on Washington County warrants and multiple charges out of Bay County for weapons violations and drug charges, along with multiple other charges.

This investigation is still ongoing.
