Athealone Brooks Lewis, age 78, of Bonifay, Florida passed away February 4, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1944, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Reubin Mack Brooks and Clea Phillips Brooks.
In addition to her parents, Athealone was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Vernon Lewis, Sr., two siblings, Blondell Golson and Lefette Brooks, and one son-in-law, Mike Hendrix.
Ms. Lewis is survived three children, Verna Marie Hendrix, Vernon Lewis, Jr., and Veronica Lewis all of Bonifay, FL; six grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Dakota Hendrix, Vernon Lewis III, Contessa Griffith, Leah Lewis, and Zach Wilkerson; eight great-grandchildren, Chase, Jeremiah, Annabelle, Addilynn, Ellason, Charlotte, Carson, and Emmerson; one sister, Jo Ann Jacobs; a brother-in-law, Jessie Valton Lewis and Carol; a sister-in-law, Juantia Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at New Bayview Church with interment to follow in the Union Hill Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, at New Bayview Church. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
