Joyce Anne Brogdon, 80 of Cottondale, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2023 at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.
Joyce was born on May 22, 1942 in Cottondale, Florida to Evins and Mae (Mashburn) Holley. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, she worked as a Rural Carrier for the United States Post Office. Joyce was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kynesville, Florida. She was a loving Mother and Mimi to her children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Evins and Mae Holley; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son: Keith Brogdon (Kerrie) of Cottondale, Florida; daughter: Sheila Gilmore (Mickey) of Marianna, Florida; former husband: Wilson Brogdon of Cottondale, Florida; six grandchildren: Alicia Bragg (Justin), Jennifer Kirkland (Aaron), Justin Brogdon, Christopher Gilmore (Meghan) , Jarrett Brogdon, Evan Brogdon; six great grandchildren: Trenton Bragg, Leah Owens, Logan Owens, Caden Bragg, Cameron Kirkland, and Kennady Brogdon.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kynesville, Florida with Bro. James Gray Braxton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
