On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Parkview at Cascades, the Electrification Coalition (EC) will host The Shift from Gas to Grid: A Roundtable on Transportation Electrification in Rural Communities.
The event will convene community leaders, industry representatives, and policymakers to discuss vehicle electrification in rural Florida. Participants will share insights on best practices, funding opportunities, and community needs.
The rapid growth in electric vehicles today is part of a fundamental shift in transportation. All Floridians and communities can benefit from the lower operating costs and increased economic development opportunities. Implementing charging infrastructure will also require a large-scale on-the-ground effort, which will create high-quality jobs for rural communities in Florida.
The event is free and open to rural community members. Parking is available in an on-site garage. Breakfast will be provided.
Registration is requested by Friday, February 24.
