If signed into law, a proposal in the Florida Legislature will allow the concealed carrying of firearms without a permit or training, while including school safety proposals, with $42 million allocated for school security upgrades.
Supported by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the bill also is backed by key House committee members and preserves constitutional rights in a time at which these basic freedoms are being curtailed.
Students at Florida State University, including members of ‘Students Demand Action’ are protesting the proposal, saying that the law would lead to more violence.
