Chain Lake Road drivers will encounter a lane shift from the existing roadway onto a temporary detour that places motorists on the new roadway alignment with Greenhead Road at the State Road 77 intersection beginning 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 15.
The temporary detour will be in place approximately two weeks. Traffic control devices will assist in directing motorists through the work area.
All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the posted speed limit of 45 mph when traveling through the construction area and watch for construction equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
Speeding fines are double when workers are present.
