On Monday, March 13, around 10:45 p.m. deputies received a report that a white pickup truck followed a victim to her home and parked in her yard.
When deputies arrived, they saw a white truck leaving the residence and attempted an investigative stop.
As the deputy exited his vehicle, the driver of the truck, Christopher McCoy, began driving in reverse and threw a black sock out of his window.
Deputies eventually detained McCoy and discovered that he had a suspended license, as well as an active warrant out of Calhoun County for Trespassing and Criminal Mischief.
Deputies also located the sock McCoy threw out of his window and found a Marlboro Red cigarette package filled with methamphetamine, marijuana, and a glass smoking pipe inside the sock.
After searching the vehicle, deputies found a second glass smoking pipe, a scale, and a second small bag containing methamphetamine.
McCoy was arrested and is being charged with Driving While License Suspended or Revoked Habitual Offender, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trafficking Methamphetamine.
