A Chipley man was arrested on felony charges after deputies execute a search warrant at his Wausau residence.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigators conducted a follow-up investigation on an unrelated case at a residence on Fifth Ave. in Wausau, FL.
While WCSO investigators were at the residence, information acquired resulted in a search warrant being obtained.
Further investigation revealed the person of interest, 34-year-old, Jeremiah Charles Mankin has a total of fifty criminal charges and convicted on seven of those ranging from negligent vehicular homicide to burglary and grand theft.
WCSO Investigators and members of the SWAT team executed the search warrant late Wednesday afternoon which resulted in the discovery of several illegal items.
Mankin who was not present at the time of the search, was incidentally called in on a suspicious person case at different location. WCSO deputies identify Mankin and took him into custody.
Mankin was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with failure to register a motor vehicle, driving while license suspended or revoked, possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted felon and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
