The Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office responded to a report on Friday afternoon, March 31, 2023, that a vehicle had been stolen in Ponce de Leon, Florida.
A Holmes County deputy sheriff in the area encountered the vehicle and saw reckless driving, with a female juvenile at the wheel.
When the deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect refused to stop and proceeded to get on the on ramp for Interstate 10.
The driver continued to drive across the westbound lanes of the interstate, with speeds approaching 100 miles per hour, ending in impact with at least three other vehicles.
The juvenile is facing charges of aggravated fleeing and attempt to elude, grand theft auto, driving without a license and reckless driving.
