A Cartersville, GA man is behind bars after attempting to flee an attempted traffic stop.
On April 5th, around 11:30 p.m. Washington County Sheriff’s Office Deputies attempted a traffic stop near Moss Hill Rd. and State Rd. 79 in Vernon.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as, 19-year-old, Jadas Kinte Whatley, pulled the vehicle to the side of the roadway.
As deputies approached Whatley’s vehicle, he accelerated and drove off.
Turning on to Sapp Rd., deputies narrow in on Whatley near the football field where the vehicle Whatley was driving came to a stop. Deputies arrested Whatley after the short pursuit.
Whatley was transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of flee/elude law enforcement officers.
