School District School Board Approves Teacher Suspension Without Pay

By | April 16, 2023

On Friday, April 14, 2023, Bay County Superintendent of School Bill Husfelt recommended the suspension of English Language Arts teacher Brian Gautier, indicating that the case is somehow connected to a Title IX investigation but was not willing to go into detail.

Several board members, including Chris Moore expressed their concerns about the suspension without a more detailed explanation, simply on conjecture.

However, even without explanation, the school board was willing to blindly vote to approve the suspension without pay.

Bay County District Attorney will send Gautier, who will have the option to contest the decision.
