On Thursday, April 20, around 8:30 p.m., deputies saw what they believed to be an abandoned vehicle parked around Highway 2 and Neals Landing.
When deputies got closer to the vehicle, they saw a person, later identified as Charlie Dowling, quickly stand up from the ground and get into the driver’s seat.
When deputies made contact with Dowling, K-9 Rocky was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Methamphetamine was then found under a red solo cup on the tailgate of the truck, along with a straw.
Dowling was arrested and is being charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
