A Chipley woman has been arrested and charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor following an investigation into a report of inappropriate conduct.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint on May 4, 2023 from a parent of a former Washington County School District student regarding alleged inappropriate sexual conduct by 43-year-old, Crystal Nicole Carter.
During the investigation, WCSO received statements from the parent alleging her son was involved in a sexual relationship with Carter, sometime around, December of 2021.
The parent also stated Carter had arranged meetings at her residence with the then 17-year-old student who was still attending high school.
This morning, Carter was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. Additional charges are pending further investigation as we anticipate there are more victims involved.
