On May 11th, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding, pulling a trailer with no back lights, and an obstructed tag.
Contact was made with the driver, Lucas Bryan of Ponce de Leon.
During the stop, K9 Highway conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal narcotics.
A probable cause search led to the discovery of a box containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe, and a cut straw.
Lucas Bryan was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
