If you’re planning a visit to Ponce de Leon Springs State Park on CR 181 in Holmes County, Florida, please do not park on the right of way or blocking the highway, according to a statement from the Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office.
Not only is doing so illegal, it impedes the flow of traffic, increases the likelihood of accidents, and prohibits first responders from being able to get to those in need in the event of an emergency.
Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office deputies will be providing extra patrol in the area, and will be issuing citations to those in violation.
Sheriff Tate is working closely with local and state officials to come up with a solution but in the meantime, parking is only allowed in designated parking areas.
