The City of Chipley, Florida has scheduled an election for Ward 2 and Ward 3 representation on August 1, 2023.
Current Ward 2 Councilperson is Tommy Sasser, holding that position for a dozen years, while Mayor Tracy Andrews holds the Ward 3 position.
Following the close of the qualifying period, Mayor Tracy Andrews remains unopposed for the position of Ward 3 Councilperson while Tommy Sasser will face re-election for the sixth time.
This election marks one of the few occasions that Chipley City Council positions have been challenged, and hopefully signals a revival in interest in City representation.
