A Brandon, FL woman was arrested in Washington County on several felony charges to include smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
On June 25, 2023 Washington County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Northwest Florida Reception Center to transport an arrestee following an investigation conducted by the prisons Inspector General Office.
Antoinette Mary Martin, 40, was allegedly attempting to smuggle contraband into the NWFL Reception Center while visiting an inmate.
Martin, who was found to be concealing methamphetamine and other illegal drugs on her person was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
During intake, detention deputies found a folded piece of paper containing additional methamphetamine in her bra.
Martin was booked on charges of two counts of introduction of contraband into a detention facility, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, drug trafficking and trafficking methamphetamines.
