On Friday, June 23, around 6:30 p.m. deputies responded to Little Zion Road just outside of Sneads after receiving reports that a shooting had occurred at a home.
When they arrived at the scene, deputies found one person dead and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, as well as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, were called to assist.
No one has been arrested and no charges have been filed in this case, however, all parties involved are accounted for.
This investigation is still ongoing, and investigators are continuing to conduct interviews and gather evidence. There is no danger to the public.
