It’s easy to talk the talk, and perhaps a little harder to walk the walk, but that is exactly what Chipley City Councilman Tommy Sasser, Washington County, Florida Superintendent of Schools Joe Taylor and School Board Member Cheryl Williams did this week in support of Career and Technical Education.

Contacting public figures, FPTC Instructor Paul Goulding explained that the technical college is experiencing a shortfall in funding, with several less-than-painless changes in procedures, presenting challenges to students and educators alike.

When hearing of the need, Florida City Councilman Tommy Sasser immediately offered to purchase the software, as did Washington County, Florida Superintendent of Schools Joe Taylor and Washington County School Board Member Cheryl Williams.

‘Thanks to these benefactors’, says Goulding, ‘Our students will have the opportunity to follow their dreams and career paths, successfully complete these technical programs, secure well-paid jobs and become taxpayers’.
