The Chipley, Florida City League Baseball and Softball teams have wrapped up their playoff games for state championship positions and again have captured the attention and admiration of local residents.
The accomplishments of these players this season, despite the age of the players and the size of the community, are something both they and the local community will hold for years to come.
The teams represented the community in the state tournaments, exhibiting poise, sportsmanship and athleticism.
The Chipley teams achieved Districts Championship in 5 out of 6 age divisions, in baseball and softball, and the 7-8 softball team finished as Runner-Ups in the State Championship.
9-10 softball finished as Runner-ups in the State Championship and 11-12 softball landed third in the state.
The teams thank the coaches, parents and sponsors that made this trip to state championship games possible, and the community knows that the future is bright for Chipley, Florida Ball, as seen (below) in contributed photos.
