On July 7, 2023, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a truck pulling a trailer with no tag.

The vehicle stopped, then quickly sped off heading south on Hwy 79.

With deputies in pursuit, the truck reached speeds of approximately 90 mph, ran a stop sign, and nearly struck another vehicle, ultimately coming to a stop on Main St.

The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled into the woods on foot.

He was commanded to stop but continued running and fell, at which point he was told to put his hands behind his back.

Instead, he crawled under a fence and continued fleeing.

When it was clear the suspect was not going to respond to commands, he was tased by an HCSO deputy.

The driver was identified as Trevor Jordan Webb of Bonifay. Webb was taken into custody and transported to the Holmes County Jail without further incident.

He faces charges of fleeing and attempt to elude, reckless driving, driving while license suspended or revoked, and resisting an officer without violence.
